 The three are in the process of negotiating new long term deals with the club but the financial demands of MSN would take a whole 73 per cent of the club’s overall revenue.

Brazil’s parliament starts impeachment proceedings against president

Eduardo Cunha ,President of Brazil’s Lower House, on Thursday said that the parliament was set to commence impeachment proceedings against President Dilma Rousseff. Cunha said Rosseff was suspected of falsification of state accounts, among other crimes.
Reacting to the development, Rousseff denied any wrongdoing and said she was indignant at the accusation. If a special committee that includes representatives of all parties accepts the impeachment, it will go to a vote of the full lower house.
The impeachment process needs a two-third majority in the lower house followed by the same majority in the upper house to remove the president from office

Danish vote in referendum on EU opt-out stance

Denmark would on Thursday Vote in a referendum to ascertain if it should change its two-decade-long opt-out system for EU justice and home affairs. The referedum came amid concerns that the system was affecting its membership in the European cross-border crime agency Europol.
The current opt-out system introduced 1993 has allowed Denmark to stay out of all supranational EU policy areas in home affairs and justice. However, following the 2009 Lisbon treaty, more EU cooperation is being transferred to a supranational level in reforms also affecting Europol.

According to Skysports, Real Madrid could be expelled from the Copa del Rey for fielding an ineligible player.

Russia winger Denis Cheryshev started in the fourth-round tie away to Cadiz despite being suspended after picking up a third yellow card in the semi-finals of last season’s competition. He scored Real’s first goal.

Cheryshev was on loan at Villarreal when he was booked for a third time in the 3-1 defeat to Barcelona in March, with suspensions carried over into the following season’s competition.

FIFA releases statement over arrest of it's vice presidents by the U.S. Department of Justice this morning

Football's governing body, FIFA, has released a statement concerning today's raid by police at the luxury Baur Au Lac Hotel, scene of raids in May that saw seven FIFA officials arrested and charged, triggering a crisis from which the organisation is still reeling. The officials who were arrested at 6a.m this morning are being held in custody pending extradition, the Swiss authorities said. The US arrest requests say the officials are suspected of accepting bribes involving millions of dollars.

57 year old man dies onboard an Arik Air flight

According to multiple reports, a 57 year old man identified as Albert Nnadi died on-board an Arik Air Flight that was heading to Lagos from Owerri yesterday December 2nd. The man was on his way to Lagos for medical attention when he was found dead as the passengers were disembarking from the plane after landing in Lagos. Arik Air confirmed the incident happened and said the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Mortuary.
