Ella Hawk and her guide Ryan Longer were hunting  by the Guadalupe River near Victoria, Texas, US, when they came across the huge reptile.

Nigerian Military Arrests Alleged Boko Haram Financier

The Nigerian army has announced the arrest of an individual named Mohammed Maina, accused of being a Boko Haram financial financier.
He is also said to have been supplying stimulants to the terrorists, Guardian reports.
Maina was arrested with the sum of N1 million cash in his possession, kolanut, and other items in Borno.

Ghana suspends 7 high court judges over corruption accusations

Accra – Ghana’s government has suspended seven out of 12 High Court judges in the wake of allegations of bribery, stemming from a documentary made by an investigative journalist.
The development followed a public outcry after the judges accepted bribe money through intermediaries, as shown in a three-hour film last month in Accra.

Why Court Seized £27,000 From Alison-Madueke

More details have emerged regarding yesterday’s order by the UK Westminster Magistrate’s Court to seize £27,000 from Nigeria’s former petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
The seizure of £5,000 and $2,000 was also ordered from Diezani’s mother, Beatrice Agama, as well as £10,000 from another woman, Melanie Spencer.
The National Crime Agency requested the seizure of the money until April 2016, in accordance with Section 295 of Proceeds of Crime Act 2012.
Vanguard has learned that the move was aimed at giving the agency evidence of Diezani’s involvement in corruption activities.

Hillary Clinton attacks Benghazi committee in new TV ad

Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton used House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy's words against the House Select Committee on Benghazi in a new 30-second TV advertisement.
The 30-second commercial, entitled "Admit", is part of a new national cable TV ad buy that starts Tuesday. The ad features McCarthy telling Fox News' Sean Hannity in an interview last week, "Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right? But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her [poll] numbers today?"

Pilot dies during American Airlines flight, co-pilot lands plane safely

An American Airlines pilot died suddenly during a red-eye flight early Monday, leaving the plane's first officer to make an emergency landing with 152 people on board.
Early Tuesday, American Airlines formally identified the pilot as Captain Michael Johnston, 57. A statement from the airline said Johnson had broken into the commercial aviation industry as a first officer for America West Airlines in 1990. The statement did not specify how Johnston had died.

Police Arrest 2 Female suspected bombers in Abuja

More than 15 plain clothes police operatives arrested two female suspected terrorists yesterday.
The incident occurred around 10.30am at the Gwarimpa Estate, CITEC end of the pedestrian bridge at the CITEC Junction Bus Stop, when the operatives stormed the spot where the two girls aged between 16 and 18, were standing as if waiting for somebody, and arrested them.
The two girls wearing hijab, but not covering their faces, were waiting under the pedestrian bridge when they were both arrested.

Blogger sues Ogun state police, Governor's aide for unlawful arrest

Blogger, Emmanuel Ojo, who was arrested and detained by Ogun State Police Command allegedly on the order of Ogun state governor, Ibikunle Amosun, for writing about his wife on Facebook, has sued the Ogun State Police command and the Chief Security Officer to Governor Amosun, Katib Biliamin for his arrest and detention, demanding N150 million as damages.
