Katie Hopkins is a popular British Columnist who has an opinion about everything. She sparked outrage yesterday when she described disabled baby Jaxon Buell 'It'. She said

"Plain wrong. If your baby has half a head, you don't have it. Cruel and inhumane," she tweeted.

Rivers tribunal: Nigerian Army lied, says INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission on Monday in Abuja informed the Justice Ambrosa Suleiman-led Rivers State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal that the Nigerian Army lied when it submitted that there was no election in Rivers State.

List of ministers ready

 

The list of ministers to be appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari is ready.

The Senate may get a letter from the President requesting the confirmation of the nominees on Tuesday or Wednesday.

It will be recalled that Buhari who was inaugurated as President on May 29 had promised to name members of his cabinet in September.

Pro-Saraki groups barricade National Assembly

Hundreds of protesters on Tuesday barricaded the entrance of the National Assembly in Abuja singing solidarity songs in support of the embattled Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki. They also warned anti-graft agencies to desist from being used against perceived “political enemies.”
They carried placards with different inscriptions such as, “Enough is enough, we support Saraki and Ekweremadu.”
Saraki is facing trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal over alleged falsification of documents in his assets declaration form when he was governor in Kwara State.

Thailand man hacks five children to death

The mass murder took place on Sunday afternoon in a village in Chai Prakarn district of Chiang Mai province.
“Five boys were killed by a mentally ill man using a chopping knife,” Police Lieutenant Colonel Sombut Kalasuk from Chai Prakarn police told AFP.
“The wounds were to their necks and heads — they were aged from five months to eight years old,” he added.
Pictures widely shared on social media showed a scene of carnage, with the blood-soaked corpses of the children littering the house.

An official of National Space Research and Development Agency (NASDRA) has advised Nigerians not to panic over the lunar eclipse which occurred on Monday morning.

Benjamin Ayetunji, NASRDA Chief Scientific Officer (Engineering and Space Systems), gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
